Executive Chef Thomas Clayton comes to Youssef 242 in Hickory from one of the most dynamic restaurant scenes in the country today - Charleston, SC. Declared one of Charleston’s hottest young chefs by Charleston Magazine and also featured in publications such as Bon Appétit, Women’s Day and the Wine Spectator-On Line. Chef Clayton is truly a rising star.

As a culinary purist and former sculptor, Chef Clayton brings an incredible creative sensibility to the dishes he crafts. Preserving and enhancing natural flavors are some of his trademarks, originating from a profound understanding and respect for the intrinsic, natural flavors of the food he prepares and serves.
